Dillon's a big boy now!

Yahoo! In addition to sleeping in a big-boy's bed, for a couple of months now, Dillon is pleased to announce he is potty-trained! Dillon's Mom was going to wait until after the holidays to potty-train him. However, Dillon suddenly decided he was ready, 2 weeks ago, and has been perfect about it ever since. I guess there is something to say about a child being ready on their time. He is a big-boy now!

Fall Fun

We spent last weekend at a friend's cabin. Joe built this zipline and the little kids loved it. Dillon wanted to go down again and again.

Dillon has a really nice Dad that took him on ride-after-ride.

Dillon went to Wheeler Farm with his preschool class. They went to the pumpkin patch and Dillon picked out this sweet pumpkin.

Joe was lucky enough to get to go on the wagon ride with "yahooing" Dillon at Wheeler Farm.

We went to the farm at Thanksgiving point and once again we were lucky enough to go on a wagon ride. This time it was Mom "yahooing" :).

Dillon loved the pony rides and had to go twice while we were there to get his fill.

We drove the Alpine Loop to see the fall colors. Joe was able to enjoy them, being the driver, the rest of us somehow feel asleep through part of it :). - What can I say, we're sleep deprived around here.

We have to have a picture of the girls in this post. Here are Isabel and Adalyn with Papa and Suni. Notice that they do have hair. Joe just buzzed it off again - poor girls, it better grow in nice and even.

Our Month

Dillon is going to 2-year-old preschool. He loves it. Joe laughs that Dillon will be in preschool almost as long as he will high school. However, I think it will be good for Dillon to have a chance to get out of the house. With these babies we don't get out as much as we used to :).

If you can't tell by this picture, Dillon is excited and ready to go "hurry mom, hurry".

We spent a day in the Uintas labor day weekend. It amazes me how kids (Joe included) don't seem to notice when water is freezing.

Like I said above, it amazes me what kids (Joe) will do regardless of how freezing the water is. Joe dared our nephew to go under too. Daxton said "no thanks" he's starting to get too smart for Joe's stunts :).

Adalyn and Isabel don't really seem to notice each other yet. However, they always seem to get tangled or hit each other when they are near. I wonder if it's really a ploy and they are aware of each other and just like to be able to play innocent and get at each other.

Oh, and sometimes they like to try to eat each other too.

Dillon is still a big fan of his babies. Isabel was having tummy time (aka crying time) and Dillon decided to take his trains in her room and play with her.

Adalyn has gotten quite a makeover this month. First, Joe buzzed her hair off. We have a thing against patchy, stringy baby hair. Our goal is for her hair to now grow in even. The twins also got their ears pierced. It's been quite the month - high excitement around here :).

Summer Pictures Continued

This was Dillon's first time bowling. He dominated! He had a hard time waiting his turn in between :) kids, but loved it.

The twins are fans of hiking. We have been doing a lot of easy (Dillon walkable) hikes this summer and have had a lot of fun getting out (something that is sometimes hard to do with (3) kids under three).

Child Labor :). Dillon loves to help feed the babies. He doesn't last long, but loves to help start us off.

Playing in the Mountains

Dillon has started making requests for certain activities. "A Party" "Park" "Ride the Train" (which meant Thomas the Train, but he settled for Joe taking him on Trax) and "Mountains". Last weekend we headed for the mountains.

Our friends took us with them on a picnic and to ride 4-wheelers. Dillon was a huge fan. His wind-blown 80's hair showed that he had a good time :).

I'm starting to get scared that Dillon has Joe's sense of caution (which in zero). I don't need another break-every-bone-in-my-body person, Joe is enough :).

Dillon had a great time hanging out with all of his lady-friends (as Joe calls them).

Our Summer

We have had a pretty low-key summer this year. Having new baby twins has kept us close to home.

We did rent a cabin by Panguitch Lake and Joe and Dillon were able to dominate fishing the lake :). One of the twins didn't think the Great Outdoors was that great (just kidding) the other was impartial.

Here is a peek at our really really effective tummy time :).

We did make it to the Zoo. If you are wondering how you take (3) kids under three to the Zoo. This stroller a.k.a "The dog sled" is how. A double stroller with a sit-and-stand for Dillon. We are so a travelling circus.

Dillon loves to hold the babies. He whispers "shhhh" to them when they are sad. He gives them little pats to make them feel better and sings a varied version of the ABC's to cheer them up.

We did make it to Bear Lake. Dillon loved riding the jet ski, playing in the sand, and "fishing" with his Dad.

The twins took a more laid back approach and slept most of the time. Adalyn's favorite spot was on Auntie Amber's lap.

What do you do when Mom feeds the babies?

I thought Dillon was quietly coloring at the kitchen table in his Thomas the Train coloring book. He was sitting quietly, but he wasn't coloring in his book, but rather on himself.

These pictures don't do it justice. Thank goodness for washable markers.

"Dillon's" Babies

Dillon likes to lay down and hang out with the babies. He likes to help Mom and give them "pats" when I am burping them. If they are crying he alerts me immediately and tells me that they are hungry and heads for the cupboard where we keep their bottles. When getting up in the morning he first sets out to locate his babies. We have had to pull a dinning room chair up to their changing table so that Dillon can supervise diaper and clothing changes in order to make sure they are done right. Dillon loves his babies.

This is how our weekend mornings look. After their early morning bottle the babies like to lay by Joe and catch a little more sleep before getting up for the day.

Dillon's Day with Thomas

Dillon has a few loves in life and one of them is trians (in particular Thomas and his friends). Joe took Dillon to ride Thomas the Train. Dillon loved it.

Dillon thought he was pretty offical handing the conductor his ticket.

According to Joe, Dillon was the #1 fan on the train. While other children were timid or not really getting what was going on, Dillon was running up and down the aisles whooping and hollering - loving every minute.

Random - These pictures are from Wheeler Farm. Dillon had a great time "driving" the tractor, but at the same time it was big enough to make him a little nervous.

Notice that Dillon is the only child in the stream at Wheeler Farm. This could be for a number of reasons, a couple being there were ducks and geese all around and because it was freezing cold. However, neither of these reasons deterred Dillon. He loved chasing the ducks and managing to get freezing red feet at the encouragement of his father.

The Twins are Here!

Our (very :)) spontaneous twins Adalyn Mae (Baby A) and Isabel Lou (Baby B) were born 05/20/2010 (Adalyn at 2:37 p.m. and Isabel at 2:41 p.m.). If you can't tell by the picture they are not identical. We did not have to do any tests to determine if they were identical, because they had different blood types.

This is a picture of the twins coming home. Joe bought Dillon birthday presents when he was born and followed that tradition by buying the twins some as well. It is always a surprise as to what he will get, but pink bb guns were an obvious must :).

Dillon loves his new little sisters. If you ask him they are "Dillon's babies". He likes to give them pats on the back of their heads and exclaim how "cute" they are. We are now a family with not (1) but (3) kids - crazy, crazy!

Busy Little Boy

Dillon has been a busy boy the last couple of months. This is his new electric toothbrush that he got for Valentines day (he is so spoiled :)). Dillon loves to brush his teeth and does all throughout the day.

Dillon is Joe's big time helper. We fixing up a couple of rooms in our house and Joe just couldn't do it all without Dillon's helping hand :).

All winter long Dillon refused to wear hats. He wouldn't wear the hood of his hoodie, beanies, nothing. However, take him to a work site and he will be all over his safty hat :).

Dillon decided one day to go into his room and undress himself. When I called for him this is what he came out wearing. He was a little upset that I was taking a picture of him rather than helping him fix his pant problem.

Dillon has been taking tumbling. After learning zero skills, but having a lot of fun, Dillon maintains his "busy boy" tag.
