MOAB TRIP

We spent the wekend in Moab.
We went to Arches National Park, and did some off-roadin', and mountain biking.

This is Marci & Dillon's first time at Delicate Arch...very cool!!!

Dillon's first hike.
Of course I had to pack the chubby little sucker most the time, but he did seem to like prancing around on the slickrock with his barefeet.

FIRST A LITTLE BACKGROUND:

One of Marci and Joe's first dates was mountain biking at Sundance, and Marci has never let me forget how scared and mad she was that I didn't realize she wasn't ready to be bombing down single-track bike trails with cliffs, stumps and rocks everywhere.

Some things never change. This is us on the world famous Slickrock bike trail. Lets just say that it was a little bit beyond Marci's skill level. But, this time, she was a good sport about it and didn't try to strangle me when I was laughing at her and taking pictures of her bloody knees and elbows after she crashed.

The lawyer in me would like to point out that the sign says

"ADVANCED RIDING SKILLS RECOMMENDED."

It does not say advanced riding skills are REQUIRED.

We also did some 4-wheelin' with our brother-in-law Paul. I am not sure if he is the best driver ever, or if he has done something crazy to that BMW (Big Mormon Wagon), but we took that Suburban places I could barely walk up.

Flippin' Sweet

The pictures don't do justice to what we were actually doing...but you can imagine.
FYI, 4-wheelin' trailes are rated on a 1-5 scale, this trail was rated 4+, and that might be an understatement.

Joe has an identical twin named Marty. They both have a little boys - Ian and Dillon. Ian doesn't look like Marty and Dillon doesn't look like Joe. However, Ian and Dillon look like each other - go figure. Which is Ian and which is Dillon? They are both about 4 months old in these pictures.

#1 - ?

#2 -?

Going Mobile

Dillon is up on his hands and knees and has the scoot and face-plant down.

We have had to start strapping him into his bouncy/"lazy baby" chair because he now tries to escape. He dropped Mr. Sunshine the other day and tried to get out and get him.

The Kids

By special request... here is a picture of our Lilly and Dillon. Lilly is staying with my sister Kayla, because pets are not allowed at the condo we are staying at. We all miss Lilly, even Dillon. Dillon loves to watch Lilly and tries to grab her whenever he can, and Lilly tries to lick him when we aren't looking.
