On Sunday we went on a hike up Little Cottonwood Canyon. It was beautiful and the cool mountain air felt great. In this picture Dillon is say "Go" as in "Ready-Set-Go" it's his newest thing to say.

Dillon loved running around on the trails. We had to keep holding him back so that he didn't get going too fast.

The wildflowers were incredible. I wish the pictures could do it justice. Notice the dust on Dillon's shirt from biting the dust on one of his runs :).

At the bottom of the trail were (2) moose. I bet no one knew that a moose says "moo" just like a cow - serious, just ask Dillon.

24th of July

On the 24th our neighborhood has a bike parade, lead by a firetruck, and a pancake breakfast. This year Joe made Dillon a covered wagon to make the trek (at 10:00 p.m. the night before, I'm sure our neighbors were pleased :))

This was Dillon's sweet ride. A newly converted red-wagon to a sturdy buckboard wagon heading west.

Joe was lucky enough to get to pull him around the neighborhood :).

Dillon has an aversion to the camera that drives Joe crazy. This is a picture Joe got before Dillon realized what we were doing.

This is a picture after he realized what we were doing. Hands in face.

Yet another picture after realizing his picture was being taken. Such an angel!

Dillon has found a new love Popsicles. This is the spot he likes to sit at everyday while enjoying his Popsicles.

Joe loves to comb Dillon's hair into different styles. Today was the 80's feather do.

The Zoo

The day before Carson left to go back home, we decided to go to the zoo. We went in the morning to avoid the heat and had a great time.

Dillon really liked the zoo too. He loved watching all of the animals. He had a hard time not tapping on the glass to wake them up :).

Dillon made it his personal mission to find every one of these lion drinking fountains and drink out of them. He loved them - maybe more than the real animals.

We had a fun couple of weeks with Carson and are going to miss him!

4th of July

Our little Yankee Doodle!

We had a great 4th of July. We started out in Park City at their parade. Then Joe took Dillon home for a nap and Carson and I went to the Flying Ace show at the Olympic Park.

We spent the afternoon at home playing in the yard and having a BBQ.

Buddies - Carson & Dillon

Dillon loved being able to spend so much time with his Dad - dominating the slide.

Joe & Dillon - just trying to annoy and give Mom a heart-attack.

That night we went to a neighbor's house and had a sweet firework show for the kids. Then Dillon and I went home while Joe and Carson headed off to see the big Sugar House fireworks.

I'm not sure if Dillon was more into the ice cream or the fireworks.

I think the ice cream.
