Last Weekend at Zion & Bryce

We took a spur-of-the-moment trip down to Southern Utah last weekend. We stayed near Zion National Park and had fun hiking, swimming and eating :). Joe was lucky enough to lug Dillon around all weekend in the backpack.

Dillon loved to get down and run-around on the red rock. However, he is quite a stumbler and so we had to help him out a little more than he would have liked us to.

On one of our hikes Dillon got to get down and splash around in the water. He decided he needed to get his shorts wet...

However, he didn't think that was enough and decided to finish the job. Don't you love Joe just standing by watching him - doing nothing to stop him :).

We decided to give Joe a break and have some stroller time.

Joe took us on a hike that not many people go on and it had an awesome waterfall and pool. We had it all to ourselves.

The water was a little cold.

Dillon literally pulled Joe all around the ledges by the pool.

When the ledges stopped, Dillon decided that he might as well keep going into the pool itself. He had a great time exploring with his Dad.

This is how Dillon and I explore. We're crazy.

After we left Zion, we went to Bryce on our way home and did a short little hike. It was a fun little weekend get-a-way.

That's a beautiful area! I love all your pictures! It looks like Dillon and Melanie have something in common... a love for water!

Can I just say I am jealous! We went hiking in a canyon in Sedona and got stuck in a flash flood...major adrenaline rush! Luckily Reagan was not there.

You are crazy, Marci. :) Fun pics. I love Dillon's hair -- good idea to keep letting it grow. I'm letting Oliver's grow out a little bit too and he also has curls.
